Jean-Patrick Davidson

Jean-Patrick (J.P.) was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2024, after graduating Magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law (Juris Doctor). During law school, he dedicated himself to mentoring first-year law students through the Allies in Law Mentorship Program. 

Before embarking on his legal career, J.P. studied Finance at the Telfer School of Management (University of Ottawa), where he acquired knowledge in the areas of corporate finance, portfolio management, and equity valuation. Throughout both law school and his undergraduate degree, J.P. consistently earned a place on the Dean’s Honour List, graduating from the Commerce program with Magna cum laude distinction as well. 

Prior to joining Sicotte Guilbault in 2023, J.P. worked at Desjardins Ontario Credit Union, where he developed a valuable understanding of credit and investment operations within the banking industry. His profound interest in business and finance has remained a driving force throughout his professional journey. 

At Sicotte Guilbault, J.P. works closely with Sylvie Patenaude, a distinguished partner, focusing his practice on Commercial Financing, Real Estate (Commercial and Residential), Commercial Leasing, and Employment Law. He is fluently bilingual and adept at drafting legal documents in both English and French.
